Aspire is urging public services commissioners to  make better use of  public procurement to support disadvantaged people in their communities.

Regulation 20 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 enables commissioners to support disadvantaged people in their workplace, but fewer than ten organisations have made use of it in regulated procurements. Aspire is offering further free advice to commissioners and has published a factsheet.
