The Welsh Government is consulting on its first draft procurement Bill that aims to strengthen and promote consistency in social partnership in Wales; deliver fair work outcomes and achieve socially responsible procurement. The objectives of the Bill are to improve the delivery of public services through a strengthened and more consistent social partnership system with fair work at its heart and to improve well-being, especially social and economic well-being, in Wales, by ensuring that the voice and interests of workers are central to decision making; by contributing to addressing economic inequalities; by delivering fair work outcomes; and by ensuring that well-being is a key consideration in public procurement.
